20MnCr5 steel is a low alloyed engineering case hardening steel for parts which require core tensile strength of 1000 – 1300 N/mm² and good wearing resistance. This steel is carburising steel used for components requiring high wear resistance surface, coupled with tough cores to resist shock loads and strength to give large service life.

A kind of alloy structural steel.20mncr5 is a steel grade imported from Germany, which is equivalent to 20crmn steel in China. It is carburized steel and can also be used as quenched and tempered steel. It has good hardenability, small heat treatment deformation, good low temperature toughness, good machinability, but poor weldability. It can be used for carburizing parts and quenching and tempering parts with very large section and high load, such as gears, shafts, worm, sleeve, friction wheel, etc.
