Characteristics and scope of application:
50Mn round steel has high strength, elasticity and hardness. It is mostly used after quenching and tempering, and its welding performance is poor. 50Mn round steel
The performance is similar to that of No. 50 steel, but its hardenability is higher, and the strength, hardness and elasticity after heat treatment are slightly higher than that of No. 50 steel. It has poor weldability, and has a tendency to overheat sensitivity and temper brittleness. Used as stress-bearing parts, high wear-resistant parts, such as gears, gear shafts, friction discs, spindles, flat springs, etc.

60Mn Carbon Steel is a high-carbon steel of low hardenability; it may be used in the as-rolled, annealed, normalized or liquid-quenched-and-tempered condition, depending on the desired properties. It is normally hardened by austenitizing and quenching in oil; however, it may be quenched in water if precautions are taken to prevent cracking. Its many uses include springs, hand tools, heavy machinery parts, shafts and agricultural machinery.60Mn’s strength, elasticity and hardness are all higher. 60Mn has good machinability and poor Cold deformation plasticity and weldability under the condition annealing.60Mn has sensitive and temper brittleness tendency for overheating. 60Mn is suitable for large size spiral spring, leaf-spring. All kinds of round flat spring. Spring ring plate, cold drawn steel wire and spring.
